Research and planning SLR shots

This is the first shot I took with the SRL camera of leaves on the floor, the first picture is without flash and the second one is with flash. I think the picture with the flash is clearer and better that the one without flash however, there isn't that much difference because I took the shot outside in the natural light.

This is the second shot I took with two people inside the college building. The first picture was taken without flash and the second picture with flash on but you can't really tell the difference because both the pictures are pretty much the same with and without flash.

Even though, with this shot of only one person in the picture, you can tell the difference between the two with and without pictures. When I took this picture I changed the setting of the camera to people. The first picture was with the flash on and the second one was without and clearly the first picture is a lot clearer and better than the second.

This is a shot I took from the college building's point of view from standing on the stairs. When I took this shot I changed the settings of the camera to mountain. Also, I had to zoom in using the front of the camera to capture the furthest mountains. The first shot was with the flash on and the second one was without the flash and I think the first picture is a bit more clearer than the second therefore, it would be better to take pictures with the flash on.

When I took this shot I used the focus on the first  so that it only focuses on the leaves and blurs the background and no focus on the second one. I think the first picture is better than the second because of the use of focus therefore, when I take a close up of an object I should use the focus to make it stand out.

I also took a picture of the college building with and without the flash. The first one is with a flash and the second one without a flash but there isn't any difference in the two pictures.

I did the same with this picture and you can't still tell the difference. I think this is because it outside the building and it won't make any difference with and without the flash outside because the natural light would be enough.

Research and planning plan for the week

This week I'm going to upload model head shots, SLR test shots which would be analyzed, finish the props and costumes post, two additional research posts which would be personalized by me.
I will also need to upload the audience videos for the music magazine cover.

The first post I'm going to put on this week is this post 'plan for the week' and then the 'props and costumes' post. And then I will post rest of the tasks stated above by the end of the week.

Research and planning make up test

I didn't use much make up on my model for the magazine. I tried to keep it quite simple not too bright and colourful as the genre for my magazine is pop. I only used foundation lightly and black eyeshadow to make her eyes a bit smokey.

Research and planning costumes and props

Costumes and props

The costumes and props I'm going to use for my music magazines cover page are:

Silver short dress with black work on it
Black tights or leggings
Silver heels
Black and silver bracelets on right hand
Black and silver bangles on left hand
Black clutch bag

I have chosen black and silver colour for my props and costumes because this would look classy and stylish. Also, I think this style would suit my magazine because the genre for my magazine is pop.

Research and planning audience feedback on covers

These are the feedbacks from audience I have noted down on the drafts. The first comment is positive, Taslime said the masthead is bold and attractive so its something she would pick up. Therefore, I wouldn't need to change anything about the masthead.

Another comment by Taslima was that I should add more stories and pictures related One Direction. I will keep this in mind when improving these drafts.

A comment by Faith was that I should have more interviews with celebrities and models. I will keep this in mind when improving these drafts.

There were no negative comments about the contents page therefore, I won't need need to change the colours or the layout.

One of the students said I should have Justin Bieber on my magazine so I decided to put a picture of him on the contents page because there is enough space for images.

This is the draft of the double page spread and one of the students Faith said that I should change the layout because its too simple. I will keep this in mind when improving the drafts.

And Taslima said I should add colour to it like the cover and the contents page to make it more attractive and so that it looks like its from the from the same magazine.
