Today I cropped the main image and included it on my front cover however I think I have to crop the picture again because the cropping isn't neat. Also, I've changed the position of the masthead to the right because if it was in the middle you wouldn't be able to see the model's face.

 This is where I got up to today with creating my front cover. I changed the sizes and colours of the masthead to pink and green and made the word 'sensation' smaller to make it look interesting and colourful because I thought it was too simple and boring before.

Research and planning photographs I have taken

This is the first picture I took with the SLR camera of my model. I might choose this picture to put on my contents page because the pose and attitude in the image is suitable for a pop magazine. 

I don't think I will be using this picture for my magazine because in the picture the model's face isn't visible.

I think I should use this photograph for the front cover because the attitude and the lighting is perfect for the magazine in this picture. I will just need to crop the bottom part of the image so that the facial expressions are visible on the cover.

I could use this image for the double page spread because its showing the relationship of the two characters of my story. Also, the natural lighting is perfect.

I wouldn't use this photograph for my magazine even though the attitudes and positions are correct the lighting is very bad therefore, it wouldn't be appropriate to use this image.

I wouldn't use this picture for the magazine because it doesn't look very professional as the dress is just casually hung up on the door.

I think I should use this image for on the contents page because a picture of nail paint would be appropriate for a pop magazine. Also, the quality and surrounding of the image is very clean and so attractive.

Research and planning Extra post4

Tomorrow that is the 23rd of November I will be taking my pictures of the model and any additional pictures. I will be using the SLR cameras and the location will be the college building. I will make sure that we do the photoshoot at lesson time or at lunch time so that we are not disturbed by other college students.

This is the a print shot of when I started doing my contents page in Indesign. I realized that this layout wasn't suitable for my magazine because the titles were all in one section together and Pop magazines normally have different sections and I shouldn't use the word 'page' therefore, I will need to change the layout to different sections and remove the word 'page' and just put the page number down.

This is the where I got to today with my contents page. I have improved it by using 5 sections and removing the the word 'page'.




 


I have now changed the colour of the sections from just yellow to all different colours to make it stand out and colourful as this is a pop magazine. I will also change the pictures on this page because I can't use an existing picture like an image of Justin Bieber as requested by the audience feedback therefore, I could take pictures of costumes and accessories myself and put them on the contents page as the pictures have to be taken by me only.
